| | | | My iPod and I broke up. First, my mini died, and the nano I replaced it with never worked in the first place. So, that's it! Apple and I are through.
That being said, I've been researching MP3 players and have an idea about what I'll be getting - Creative Labs Zen Micro Photo 8GB
But, I've read good things about iRiver Clix and SanDisk's new 6GB thingy. What do *you* listen to.
Also, now that I have like 100 dollars worth of iTunes on my drive, what can I use to convert them to MP3? |
| | | | | Couldn't tell you what MP3 player is good - I have an iPod in my car because most stereo manufacturers include iPod support (but not others).
As for getting your iTunes Store music to MP3 - you'll have to create audio CDs from them (in iTunes), and re-rip the CDs you created into MP3. That's the easiest (there are other methods of breaking the DRM), but also degrades the song quality. |
| | | | | I have an olmypus m:robe and while the player is sexy the software blows so I don't like to reccomend it. While I haven't used Creative's products, they come HIGHLY reccomended. From what I've heard, I'd venture that they're Apple's biggest competition when it comes to that.
I'm not familiar with how I-tunes works but assuming the files are on your computer and they're m4a you can use this the Free CD-DA Extractor/Converter from here

I was worried that burning and reripping was my only choice, and oh how tedious that'd be
Thanks for the software info, midnight |
| | | | | I use Creative Labs little MuVo TX FM.. it's only like $70 Bucks so if I jump in the hot tub with it, I dont cry... not that I cry anyhow.. but. It's a 256 MB USB riggin with an FM/AM tuner built into it.. you can also use it to move data... obviously... But it works sweet. My GMC is old and doesnt have a CD player in it so I bought one of those chintzy Cassette tape to micro jack rigs?.. Crystal clear.. all made in China.. or taiwan.. or maybe even the DRNK (AN Acronym for some bullshit) North Korea.
Good Luck GKG :-) |
