The first No. 1 vs. No. 2 matchup between Ohio State and Michigan comes a day after the Wolverines lost their most celebrated leader, Bo Schembechler. The longtime coach, who played a starring role for two decades in the century-old grudge match, died Friday at age 77.

An Ohioan who became a Michigan icon, Schembechler cut across this rivalry and helped make it the biggest - and at times bitterest - feud in football. Now even his death will be forever linked with The Game.

"He will always be both a Buckeye and a Wolverine, and our thoughts are with all who grieve his loss," Ohio State coach Jim Tressel said.

Integral in the Build up of this great .. and fun rivalry.....the pic's still made me chuckle Cdog..I still am working..but the radio will be on...and at least 4 hours of work will be neglected!!

Heres hoping Michigan can win this for the man. This changed the tone a bit.

God Bless Bo

i lost my voice..a flip flop and any reasonable ammount of sanity that night (PS...if you're ever in Ohio Stadium 37aa deck is the place to sit.)

i wasn't happy with Hart though doggin' the defensive line after the game..seemed more of a petulant child..and Tressel had nothing but kind words for all the Wolverine team.

some of my favorite things...High Street full of people after the game (i think i bruised my hand from too many high fives) the newest tshirt stating we should give Michigan to Canada. The man took a chunk of grass from the field...meeting eddie george (again)..the boy starting a chant of "we don't give a damn" at eddie georges bar...just alot of stuff i guess...

last thing i can say about the game

Coach Carr and Coach Tressel find a magic lamp and they rub it. the genie pops out and says i'll grant each of you one wish...so Carr goes first stating he wants a fifty foot wall erected around the entire state of michigan to keep ohians out. The genie snaps his fingers and poof it's done. Tressel contemplates for a moment and says ok, now fill that with water...
