Barbaro euthanized

Even though you know an animal may be in pain, its still sad to see them go. A tough choice for Barbaro's owners I'm sure

i saw this too and as a horse owner was very saddened. You always hope the animal will heal
and at least be able to live out his life in
green pastures. Sad to see him go.

A year and a half ago I had to put my own mare down when she broke her leg after being hit by a car. So when I saw this today it brought it all back and I cried like a baby for both horses. Its never fair when an animal dies before ever seeing a long happy life or fulfilling their potential. As a horse person I can full well imagine the pain the owners are in and my heart goes out to them. He was a great colt and had an amazingly bright future. I can only pray this doesnt happen to another.
