Can't put someone on my Ignore list

i can't put Sundance~ on my ignore list. Everytime I try in NHB his public posts still appear on my screen. I have tried to block him using the ignore list and I get an error message saying that he is either already on my ignore list or is on my buddy list and i have checked both lists and he is on neither. How can I block him? I never want to make the mistake of speaking to him again.

i just tried putting his name on my ignore list just for the session & it worked fine for me.. i checked the room to make sure i didn't see his posts & i don't

They are probably on your Buddy List under a different name. I'll take a look though to make sure.
