Your perspective seems at opposite ends to mine.

The race card. So that's it? I think you have O-FFICIALLY... lost.
You didn't quite bring up the fact that Saudi Arabia is US-backed. Way to go... you've lost.

err derpeederp...

Look who actually brought up the race card. It wasn't me!

You talkin' bout dat country where racism is clear? Where black people just don't matter whatsoever?

Didn't Martin Luther King Jr. say sometin' 'bout "getting over your color"?

Looks like you have for too long been living in the past, derpeederp. I'm guessing that you are black and are sorry for it. Get over it! Red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in His sight. Jesus loves the little children of the world. Amen! Praise the Lord!

Der- You are truly a college student. piss and vinegar and have all the answer's. One of these days you will get old enough to see what the hell is really going on in life, other than what the liberal media tells you to think. My country, the one that I have fought for, and i doubt that you have, but you love to run it down, is still the best country in the world. If you have seen what others have seen then you will know it is freedom that we are preserving. And if you dont believe it catch a flight and put boots on ground in Iraq or Afghanistan and tell me otherwise. The Iraqi people, for the most part, have no idea what its like to go to school.
Most of them are uneducated and from what I saw live a mere existance of a life. They are proedominitely a blue collar society due to a lack of schooling. They need our help and most of the people want our help. Believe it or not, call me a liar and tell me im just a mindless soldier that does what he is told. Like I said, boots on ground and then talk smack.
Is our country perfect, no..... Is our President perfect? no. Is any President perfect? no..... My country is the best. It enables you to run down other peoples religion and beliefs instead of talking about it like a real person. Im not the most religious person but respect for others is still respect for others, something my generation and today's generation needs to learn. My dog tags said Catholic for my religion, yeah... I dont think so, I cannot condone the moving of preists to another parish, that molest little boys. SO I am definitely not the most religious person, except when we had 8 ft rockets landing in our prison exploding all around us. "No athiests in a foxhole"......
Yeah you have the right to say what you want. so it is freddom that allows you and will soon allow the Iraqs to say and do the same.
So on this beloved 4th of July when you are kicking back thinking of what you are gonna be doing for the day, just remember soldiers, I am a reservist, which by the way were the first soldiers of the US, like myself who have spent a total 10 months in the last three years at home. So while you have been planning your day for fun, others have been praying that today that will live to fight another day.
Say what you want and run this country down and those who govern it, but i damn sure dont see anyone voluntering to go see for themselves. Talk is cheap and actions speak louder than words.

Lingo- Keep the prayers coming....... Because they do work.......

Lingo- pointing out the racism that is prevalent in the US doesn't mean I'm racist, nor does it imply that you are racist.

Tex- College student? No. I'm way passed that (and I urge EVERYBODY to go to college). I do understand the world far more than you. And as for liberal labelling: liberals and conservatives are just two sides of one coin (quote "Waking Life"), both fighting for their agenda.
And I don't celebrate your ["beloved"] 4th of July, for I don't live in the US. Not exactly a round world thing, unlike in your eyes (Do you suppose the world IS the US?).
And by the way... it's not your country that's bad. It's your leaders. Get over yourself. I'm not against you, but the war and the man who started it, not to mention the stupidity of humanity.

p.s., to clear things up, I am Christian, but I also question EVERYTHING and try everything.

"Test everything. Hold on to the good." - St. Paul, 1 Thessalonians 5:21

I can use the Bible, too.

"Talk is cheap and actions speak louder than words."

So much for diplomacy. I'd like a bullet in the head now, please.

I'm not trying to lump you in with others, though I am quick to judge alot of stupid crap both of you have said. To me, individuals never speak for the entire group, but themselves. You should go to college, Tex. It's the only way for you to comprehend the reality we live in. Iraq isn't the other side ofthe globe. It's just another country. Afghanistan applied, too. This is nothing more than the Caspian Sea pipeline setup. Hopefully, Jesus comes before they can start setting it up and the world realises their ill-fated belief in the war. You may be out fighting, but to me, you're just another soldier wh oserves in a military whose glory is praised just like the Japanese and German military in the thirties. Prove me wrong, youngin'. "Well, they did bad things, though." History had to prove that to their population. History will tell your public. Time for the guitar solo Tex. No, not country, but good ol' rock n' roll! Devil music, I suppose you might say.

Once again, do your research. The Bible isn't the only book on the face of the planet.
And Tex (who I'm starting to have a feeling is actually Lingo's alter ego. Not necessarily true, but something about it...), I give you this (unless you are Lingo, and you've heard this before): "A thing is not necessarily true because a man dies for it" AND "No man dies for what he knows to be true. Men die for what they want to be true, for what some terror in their hearts tells them is not true." Oscar Wilde

And no they're not pissed off because we don't bow down to them. They're pissed off for... I've said it a million times... the US putting military bases in the mideast. As David Cross said regarding the idea that people didn't do their research on that matter, "Is this a nation of six-year-olds? Yes, it is."

Don't give me that "big enough lie people will believe it" stuff, because that is what applies to your belief. BELIEF. Notice I said that. Osama's tapes clearly specified why they have an incredible disdain for the US. You have the Internet. Go find the transcripts and skim them for the answer, the TRUTH to why they hate the US.
By the way, it's rather blind of you to believe that the majority of people in the US agree with MLK. In truth, alot of people there are racists. MLK is, to me, another dead HERO. Anyone who says that the judgement of someone should not be based on their skin color but their personality is my kind of guy.
Still waiting for your answer about Saudi Arabia.

racism in America? where?

_______

TexTheInfidel...I appreciate your "boots-on-the-ground perspective" and thank you greatly for your comments and for sharing here. Actions DO speak louder than words in matters where sanely exchanging of words come from but one side only and time for continuing in that route has been more than exhausted. Thanks for being there from the bottom of my heart.

So while you have been planning your day for fun, others have been praying that today they will live to fight another day.

God bless you Tex and I will especially pray for you and your fellow reservists' safety and protection, as you assist in putting those insurgents in their rightful place.
The persecuted people of Iraq are the same people everywhere who desperately want to breathe freedom, to grow and to learn peace-loving ways.

I'm VERY grateful for President Bush being in office. There's no one who could be doing a better job. I ADMIRE HIM, LOVE HIM, JOIN IN AND SUPPORT HIM IN WHAT AND WHERE HE IS LEADING. Perfection is JUST down the road.

Have a GREAT and MEANINGFUL 4TH, Tex! God bless!

oh derpeederp: What college was that you say you attended once upon a time?.....

......I'd like to know so that I can make a concerted effort NEVER to recommend it to anyone! Of course, it may not have been the college's fault.Jesus wept. - John 11:35

Uh-huh... well, when Jesus comes, I hope He tells us... especially you... what really went down.
By the way, Jesus never picked up a gun or raised a fist for hHis beliefs. To liken a soldier to Him is just... ugghh...

Where have you been? Racism is prevalent in america, most noteably the south. You're in denial. When I was living there... my God... people always talking behind other people's backs.

Oh... wait a minute... I just realised something. It's okay for you to defend your country with MLK (falsely) but it's not okay for me to defend true virtue and morals with Gandhi? I thought you have don't look toward men for answers, but only Jesus? Damn... so biased. This message was edited by derpeederp on 7-3-06 @ 9:25 PM
