By the way, Jesus never picked up a gun or raised a fist for hHis beliefs. To liken a soldier to Him is just... ugghh...

Consider this, derpeederp:

II Timothy 2:3 "THOU therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life*; that he may please Him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

*being worldly

derpeederp:

I guess I've never been obsessed with what people were "saying behind backs". If they can't say it directly to whom it concerns, it probably isn't worth saying or paying much notice. When you give such things your attention, it can escalate simply for more of your attention. I can't say that there is no racism in America because there is some...more prevalent in younger gang members who may go against those of another race in the neighborhood...before they wisen up. I am saying, however, that racism is dying out, in my opinion. You must have lived in a particularly bad neighborhood in the south. Don't think they all are like that. I know otherwise. The south can be a very good place to live. Jesus wept. - John 11:35

You talkin' bout dat country that outs pressure on the world t oanswer to them?

America does exert pressure now and then and I am proud they do this and I support them doing this for the reasons behind it.

It is when countries exercise FORCE to terrorize people into bowing down to them is where America draws the line and gets tough in defense of the innocent. The jhadists/terrorists of the world are beginning to understand this. Why haven't you, derpeederp?

There's a big difference between exercising
"pressure" and applying "force". Exercising pressure still allows the recipient nation to freely choose.
Exercising "force" eliminates alternatives/freedom and is what jhadists do best. They are selfish cowards, all of them who can't see past their own noxious noses or hallucinatory visions of awaiting virgins. A deep breathe of fresh air would do them good.Jesus wept. - John 11:35

You are like a drive-by shootist who sprays a myriad of bullets and doesn't care to understand or see the results.
If you want to call this a discussion, then discuss,
derpeederp. If you don't want to comment on what I've said thus far, then go ahead and make your point about Saudi Arabia.Jesus wept. - John 11:35

Here's a story about lending a helping hand...
It came as an email to me.

It is awesome how troops will step up to the plate whenever needed, as the following example shows:

~~NIGHT WATCH~~

A nurse took the tired, anxious serviceman to the bedside. "Your son is here," she said to the old man.

She had to repeat the words several times before the patient's eyes opened. Heavily sedated because of the pain of his heart attack, he dimly saw the young uniformed Marine standing outside the oxygen tent. He reached out his hand.

The Marine wrapped his toughened fingers around the old man's limp ones, squeezing a message of love and encouragement.
The nurse brought a chair so that the Marine could sit beside the bed. All through the night the young Marine sat there in the poorly lighted ward, holding the old man's hand and offering him words of love and strength.

Occasionally, the nurse suggested that the Marine move away and rest awhile He refused. Whenever the nurse came into the ward, the Marine was oblivious of her and of the night noises of the hospital - the clanking of the oxygen tank, the laughter of the night staff members exchanging greetings, the cries and moans of the other patients.
Now and then she heard him say a few gentle words. The dying man said nothing, only held tightly to his son all through the night.

Along towards dawn, the old man died.
The Marine released the now lifeless hand he had been holding and went to tell the nurse. While she did what she had to do, he waited. Finally, she returned. She started to offer words of sympathy, but the Marine interrupted her

"Who was that man?" he asked.
The nurse was startled, "He was your father" she answered.
"No, he wasn't," the Marine replied. "I never saw him before in my life."
"Then why didn't you say something when I took you to him?"
"I knew right away there had been a mistake, but I also knew he needed his son, and his son just wasn't here. When I realized that he was too sick to tell whether or not I was his son, knowing how much he needed me. I stayed."

As always, this Marine fulfilled a duty.
God bless our troops.

God open the eyes of those throughout the world to see Your beauty of our our love, compassion and sacrifices and give them wisdom to go and do likewise
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
