I'm usually really good at knowing My music, but I've been racking My brains over this one for ages now and I'm about ready to give up!

I can't remember who sings it, My parents had the 45 and I used to listen to this song over and over again until I wore the record out.. (early 80's, song sounds like it dates back to the 50's) It's kind of sad an haunting, and even though I used to know it by heart, the only thing I can remember now is this verse.

"but it wasn't long before, we weren't little anymore, I saw the little girl I knew, vanish, like the morning dew.. da da da da da daaaaaa.. Da da da da da daaaaa..."

If AaNYBOBY could help Me with this song I'd appreciate it very much..

Thanks!!!

With each passing day, I didn't lose hope. I fought to have more.

Nope, that's not it. It's a man singing. If I saw the lyrics, I would know it. It's an old song as in from the 50's, not within the last decade.

It talks about two little kids and how they were friends..blah blah blah, and one day he looked at her and saw she was a woman and how he loved her.. blah blah blah.. *l* It's a soft and slow song, almost rather sad sounding, but I LOVED this song when I was a little girl. Still don't know what the hell it is.

Thanks for trying..

*just grins at Bos*

And yet You never do those things.. *sad dramatic sigh*

Yep. The 50's were way before My time too, but I LOVE that song.. You know Me.. *s* I love most all music. *nods*

Maybe someday I'll FIND this damn song.... *growls, winks, snags some of the wicked and dirty thoughts, and runs*

Not sure, but it could be a lyric out of "(Take Me Out In The) Morning Dew" by the Damnation Of Adam Blessing, an old Cleveland band.

Sure sounds like something out of the song.....

Hi Damia,

yes I know, almost five years past since your last answer.

I just got this little tune in my mind "vanished like the morning dew"and I started a search on google and came up to this post.

I actually have the 7" record, that you used to play (not the actually one of course). It is "in the year 2525" by Zager and Evans. The song is on the back sde and is called "Little Kids".

Just in case your didn't find out by yourself right now.

If your mailbox can stand about 4MB, give me a short note.

Have fun
