So, D_Mc is a 95% show up probability, he lives in Calgary so that's gonna be good

And Entangler and his love are booked in....

SO, there's no excuse!!! People, Aug 28 booking deadline is FAST approaching. If you don't have your room booked now, git-er-done!!! They won't guarantee room availability after then, nor will they hold pricing. SO, hurry up and book. Re read the conditions at the top of the thread and be sure. But, BOOK!! Find a roomie if you think it's gonna be too expensive, but BOOK!!!!

Well, the cut off date has come and gone. Who has booked rooms? I will find out this week, then I will contact each one. My intention is to offer myself as pick up from the airport or bus depot, if we can work it out. If you've booked and have to cancel, you have two weeks to do so with no charge. After that date, you will be charged for the room. *see conditions at the beginning of this thread* .

Just cuz the deadline's come and gone don't mean you can't book, but you may not get the same price, nor will you be in the same area as us. DO tell them you're with us, they can try to put you in with us. Still looking forward to a fun time

Puts down the phone...
well, that was rather disappointing to hear. I just called the Quality Inn to ask how many rooms were booked.

3

3 rooms were booked

I guess those of us booked in will get to party for 109/night. Anyone else that wants to come pays 119/night for King single, or 125/night for double queen. PLUS taxes.

Wonders where Entangler's booked in at...

Bibs, you're most welcome to come join us THe more the merrier!

For the rest of those who are coming in from out of town, as soon as you get your travel arrangements booked (ie, flight, or bus arrival time) send me a page with your name, how I can contact you (phone number) and details of arrival. I can work out something to pick you up, if it works out with me bein there. At this point, I'm gonna be in Calgary the morning of the 28th, so we might be able to pick yu up, I just need to know who, when, where, and how many

Okay, so, I know who's got rooms, and I've added one to Middie's room by request So, I'm sure of at least 7 people at the party from out of town, possibly the 8th, if she doesn't have to cancel out. Tha'd leave the majority of the rest I'm hoping will come to come from Calgary itself, so we COULD have 10-12 people there.

My intention is to pick one up in Edmonton that morning of the 28th then Karene from here on the way thru to Calgary, to be there before lunch and get checked into the hotel. I think Middie's comin in just after lunch, so that'd work fine...

Friday night, we will meet at the local lounge for drinks and an informal get to know each other session; anyone who is there and can make it, be there The hotel has the Q lounge within, smokin permitted there for those who feel the need to choke themselves out. lol What do you think about the idea of a karaoke night? I think it's a great way for people to relax and have fun, not everyone has to sing but those of us who can, will

Saturday, I'm thinking of making starting the day with informal breakfast, either we can cheap out and do the continental poolside brekkie offered by the hotel, or slip over to Denny's for breakfast. Then, we can head over to the CN tower and see the city from above... probably after that go down and over to Ft. Calgary museum, and possibly the zoo after that, if anyone wants to. I'd ideally like to see us as a group do something together, but, if you'd rather go shopping and the events I've proposed really don't interest you, then feel free. Let's do a formal dinner of sorts Saturday evening, then go and meet again at a lounge, or barhop or something...

Sunday morning, we'll do a final farewell breakfast, if it all fits in with everyone's departure schedule, and disperse after lunch. If people's departures fit my departure from Calgary, I could probably deliver everyone to the airport or bus.

According to the website, they say they ahve airport pickup, but CdnLady says they don't, so I'll have to figure that one out.

That's what I've got proposed

Sheldon
