As in the past, this year's FolsomFringe event will feature plenty of evening activities to entertain and entice you.
You've asked for the opportunity to attend more classes, so here it is! Onsite at the event host hotel we'll be offering educational workshops all day long, plus well into the early evening. We've added a late session for even more bang for your education buck!
Also onsite at the event host hotel there will be a variety of evening socials so you can more easily meet and mingle with like-minded kinksters. Choose from the "Speed Flagging" singles' mixer on Thursday, the "Come as You Are" BBWs and their admirers' mixer, Dionysus' mixers on both Thursday and Friday at Bytes Cafe, our exclusive FolsomFringe Muses' Saturday night dance social, featuring DJ entertainment, optional souvenir photos and some of the hottest fetish wear you'll find South of San Francisco! Dress to impress in your sexy best; strut your stuff in the privacy of the plush ballroom of the Domain Hotel.
Dance the night away at our Saturday evening social, but don't stay up too late or you'll oversleep the first fun-filled bus to the San Francisco Folsom Street Fair! Yup, that's right! For this year's FolsomFringe event smOdyssey takes you back in time for a triumphant return to one of our favorite party venues. Napredak Hall features a full kitchen with a walk-in freezer, spacious food prep areas with complete facilities to ensure that this party lives up to smOdyssey standards. Potluck? No way! This kitchen is first-class all the way. The hall has high ceilings, a built in stage, spacious restrooms, ample free parking and a cozy separate social area, too! Courteous volunteer staff and DMs will ensure your safety, security and comfort at this first-class private party for FolsomFringe attendees only.
For those who have already registered and purchased tickets for both a Friday and a Saturday night play party, refunds will be available for the Saturday night play party. Fetish events around the world
October would be a great time to visit Australia & New Zealand.
The first weekend of the month is The Gathering in Sydney. A full weekend of workshops, parties and a fetish party involving the Sydney Hellfire crew. There's a group on Fetlife for this but no website yet.
In Melbourne mid month there's a 10 day kink fest planned with Provocation & Klub Kunst (play party and no holds barred play party respectively) and a fetish ball which tends to get around 1000 people and is along the lines of the London parties.
Third weekend of Oct over in Christchurch NZ is the Southern Exposure weekend, less fetish and more BDSM. BTW Aus & NZ parties tend to be held in clubs with a bar so even if you just want to dress up, socialize and perhaps have a glass of wine that also works.
Re the London Rubber Ball. Keep a eye out on the SK2 site.
Normally in London there's a big weekend early Oct, yet to be advertised.
On our list to get to this year is Montreal at the end of August.
Also, if you have the time and budget Kink in the Caribbean is a must do at least once.

smOdyssey, Inc is looking for a few energetic volunteers with smiling faces for our eleventh annual FolsomFringe weekend event on September 24-26, 2010.
By volunteering for Team Odyssey you will earn a discount on admission to a national SM/Leather/Fetish event, plus enjoy all that FolsomFringe '10 has to offer! Experience the fun of being behind the scenes, participating in the teamwork that creates the magic!
Volunteers Departments Include:

How do I sign up?
There are two ways to sign up for volunteering:

Register, select your preferred position(s) and await a response from volunteer coordinator via email.

2) Join us at the July 25th Volunteer Fair to take advantage of this grand experience at a discounted rate. Enjoy drawing for prizes, talk to with other volunteers, and met with team leads.
Volunteer positions are first come first served!
Volunteer Discount Rates/Volunteer For:
4-7 hrs = pay $150 for the weekend admission
8-11 hrs = pay $75 for weekend admission
12 hours = pay $45 for weekend admission
(12 hours is the maximum!)

Q. Do I need to bring a partner?
A. No! Anyone may attend, partnered or not.
Q. My primary and I have a submissive - can all three of us come?
A. Pricing for this intensive is purposefully set to allow for "relationship units" of every size; this is by no means `couples only'!
Q. I am fairly new and my partner and I are exploring options. Is this for me?
A. This is perfect for you; come on in and discover your passions.
Q. I have been in the Scene for a while. Can this be helpful for me?
A. Absolutely. Come and reacquaint yourself with the dreams and desires that brought you into the scene, and find out things about yourself and your partner(s) you might not have seen before.
Q: Will there be opportunities to play?
A: Passionate Bonds weekends are held in cities where there are local play spaces. We encourage you to create your own playtime as part of a great weekend
Q. What's a Relational Unit?
A. That's the term we use to refer to people coming together to construct a D/s relationship. We recognize that this is not limited to couples and many forms of relationship geometry exist. We also use this term to avoid labels as each D/s relationship uses special terms for their structure and titles.
Restrictions:
Age 18+. Cancellation Policy: Full refund up to 2 weeks prior to event. 50% refund (Minus processing fee) if cancelled between 2 weeks and 1 week prior to event. No refund if cancelled within a week of the event.

Laura Antoniou and I are are thrilled about the upcoming weekend we're co-facilitating. After years of into-the-wee- hours talks on the joys and pitfalls of real world D/s relationships, disparity in practical information, causes of D/s burnout, the need to address how to deal with real life challenges, our own D/s thrills and spills, we created and launched this last year. We've created an experience where you can crystallize your vision and goals, create protocol that serves your style and relationship objective and discuss changes in that relationship. It's not an easy process but we believe it'll save you much heartache later. It's made for both those already in and those who want to be in D/s relationships. We don't teach the "one true way" - instead we strive to guide you to finding your authentic and fulfilling way.
