BOLD 2012 will bring together members of the Heterosexual Male Dominant/Female submissive community for two days of discussion and education focused on how we create a healthy, empowering, and mutually gratifying dynamic for our relationships.
The core of the Male Dominant/Female submissive dynamic is the relationships we build, with a basic recognition that BDSM as practiced by our community can be a healthy and positive expression of our sexual identity, needs, and desires. We further believe that leather serves as a cornerstone of community building in the BDSM lifestyle and focuses on honor, authenticity, and integrity.
This conference is a step toward embodying those principles and will feature classes in three tracks:
1) The Art of Consensual Power Exchange: Defining Male Dom Het Leather (MDHL): These classes and discussions will focus on identifying and clarifying the nature of Male dominance and will explore issues of ethics, transparency, honor, and integrity as well as understanding the cultural and historical basis for Male Dominant Het Leather as consensual power and authority exchange. We believe that understanding who we are and engaging in self-reflection will enhance our relationships and help foster a sense of community among Dominant men.
2) Empowerment through Submission: Defining the Female Submissive Role in a MDHL-FS Dynamic: This track will explore themes of empowerment and liberation through the experience of female submission. Classes will be designed, taught, and programmed by female submissives for female submissives and will cover topics ranging from identifying needs, communicating desires, personal health and understanding and embracing multiple paths to submission and service.
3) Defining the Dynamic: Constructing Inspired Relationships: This joint track will focus on how the Male Dom/Female submissive dynamic can foster relationships that are mutually gratifying. Taught primarily by lifestyle couples, these classes will focus on issues of both long-term and everyday concern to those who practice consensual power exchange in an MDHL dynamic. Topics will include connecting through play, creating and managing protocols, polyamory, and communication.
Presenters
Bold 2012 brings together some of the most talented educators from Southern California for discussions of how we construct empowered relationships for BDSM in the Male Dominant/Female submissive Het Leather dynamic. We are proud to feature some of the most experienced men and women in the Southern California lifestyle, who boast both a national and international reputation.
Confirmed presenters include: Nina Hartley, DonSir, Damon Pierce, Ernest Greene, Claire Adams, Aranea, Sir Strange, Sire Kane, ColinSir, and many others!

LLC XVI will be held in Nashville, TN from April 13- 15, 2012.
Registration is now open. Everyone is welcome! If you're interested in community service, leadership, group dynamics, the history of our community or networking opportunities you are invited to attend LLC-XVI.
The Early Bird Registration - $89.00, is valid until February 15, 2012 and then the Standard Registration of $109.00 is in effect until April 6, 2012

There are two keynote addresses at LLCXVI - Friday's opening ceremonies will include a Keynote address by Mark Frazier. Mark is the co-owner and executive producer of the International Leather Sir/boy and community bootblack contest he is also the founder of SouthPlains Leatherfest.
Sunday's closing ceremonies will include a keynote address by Lady D. Reverend Deborah Harrison is better known as Lady D. She is a Lifestyle Domme and the owner of D&S Lifestyle Enterprises Inc., a certified master hypnotherapist and believes in holistic healing of mind, Onyx Pearls is also the sister organization to The Southeast Men of Onyx. Her personal commitment is to help make this community stronger and better and to continue Jill Carter's philosophy of "Each One, Teach One".
This year LLC-XVI will be offering two pre-conference institutes of specific curriculum on Friday, April 13th before the conference officially begins.
One is dedicated to writers and getting published with Janet Hardy of Greenery Press. The other is dealing with quality sex education programs for adults facing challenges in creating environments that nurture and support positive sexual health for adults and application for CE's from the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) has been submitted.
In addition, LLC XVI offers over 40 workshops and seminars. Programming for the conference is complete. Respected presenters from around the country are joining in and donating their time and services to offer the finest in skills building and leadership development training. Details on the program and schedule will be available shortly.
The LLC is also adding vending to the conference this year as well as a dedicated vendor track for community vendors. It's a great opportunity to not only vend but attend classes designed specifically for vendors!

Osada Steve master classes in London, UK!
I have heard that Steve is planning to be in London 16-20 April to run some master classes. If you want to know more about Steve, take a look at his blog and web site. His classes are extremely popular so register your interest by letting Esinem know via the contact form. Esinem can certainly vouch for his tuition, which is extremely thorough, and since Steve speaks excellent English there will be no communication problems and the opportunity to get the answers you need straight from the horse’s mouth.
Tickets for couples will be £420 for 5 days of 5 hours tuition. This is a bargain, as his rate for personal tuition in Tokyo is 10,000JPY (around £80) and, of course, you have to get there first.
