I find it quite comical that a Canadian has to give his 10 cent worth in a
situation which in no possible way effects people in Canada?
You are the first one to scream bloody murder when an American like Slup_Pup hits on Canadian issues.

I don't believe anyone was involved in prophecy.
And a liberal is the only person to bring up food banks. ACORN is no food bank.

A liberal, Democratic controlled Congress shut down the funds for ACORN. They had good reason to do so.
Finally, ACORN is closing up shop because big donors have stopped giving to ACORN.

Two lines. Two very wrong statements. A congress controlled by the people and a judge are the correct answers. I am sorry Bree, you are not smarter than a Fifth Grader.

KBE

congress is the body the constitution charges with the task of handing out the money...acorn should have never been funded in the first place because their activities are not things listed in article 1 section 8....

however, congress has the power to cut off funding as it sees fit...the judicial branch has no say in it....

they cant fine member of acorn or put acorn in prison just for being an acorn member...that would be a bill of attainder...

but congress can definitely stop funding them....for any or no reason at all.....

congress can defund the military in iraq and end our involvement there if it wants.....and no court has authority to stop it.....certainly they can defund acorn as well.....

Remember Harry "this war is lost" Reid?

The Congress holds the purse strings. Barry is right. Congress can put an end to President Bush's and President Obama's wars. They should not and have voted to continue funding the wars.

A liberal Congress can put an end to the taxpayers paying for ACORN. Large private donors can stop giving to ACORN too and spell its doom.

Despite who you seem to be, you do not have the right to tell the mods what to think. And that line is a joke line used all over the world, I am pretty sure Bree chuckled, not only at the humor, but the person it came from, considering what she thinks of me.

As for your consistant attempts to have me banned, why not just go straight to Cradz and ask him to bann me just because you do not like me?

prophetic? Here's a link to a thread....

Link
Notice the date?

They had it coming too them long before
they mentioned they were closing shop on
April 1st 2010 for their *ahem* illegal activities.

You think the Supreme Court will save them?
you're gravely mistaken.... they
will not intervene any further.

the irony... Acorn done in by their own
'cloward piven' strategy. When all their former
sponsors cut their funding and left after that
pimp and prostitute video as they incur and overload
from massive amounts of debt and go... bankrupt.

How very fitting!

AGAIN, ACORN has NEVER BEEN CHARGED WITH A SINGLE CRIME.

Yes, some of their employees have - but they were not doing what they were hired to do, and in many cases, ACORN management turned them in.

And yes, I know, the truth is falling on deaf ears - as usual.

But if ANY of you ever patronize ANY business that has EVER had an employee arrested for ANY REASON..or if you even watch a SPORTS team that has EVER had a member arrested for ANY REASON, you're being a total hypocrite.

And btw, FYI, ACORN didn't close shop because of criminal activity - that's an urban myth spread by Faux TV and rightwing talking heads.

ACORN closed shop because big donors panicked about all the bad publicity and stopped giving, at least until the court case plays out.

And as far as federal funding being pulled from the division that helped the poor and homeless find affordable housing - I'm sure ALL of y'all will come back here and admit you're wrong the minute the actions of Congress are declared unconstitutional - right?

Yeah, I won't hold my breath.
