Rosary beads are supposedly in fashion in Australia! I hope the trend continues and soon everyone is wearing a string of beads with a cross upon it. As the archdiocese of Sydney, Australia says "those who have adopted Rosary beads as a fashion item may have a spiritual awakening." For the Catholic Church that is a good thing. Go out and get your Rosary beads today...and possibly have a spiritual awakening.

I am never more at peace than when Catholic rosary beads are wrapped around my enfolded hands, my head bowed in prayer, kneeling in my Father's house.
Bless you all this day and always, ML

Having considered this - I think it's a swell idea that Rosary beads are trending fashion in areas of Australia. I've seen a number of photos in evidence of their use and they look good! Not suggesting for a moment they didn't also look good on the nuns.

I think there is a gained level of respect for the Church and if any spiritual awakening ultimately occurs it's a bonus.
Good for you, Australia

You know what I always loved about rosaries?
You could use them as anal beads and the cross at the end as a makeshift dildo.
Yarmulkes are going to the next de rigeur item.
